long cord is great

I was looking for a surge protector with a long cord and a good joule rating to use on my computer. The outlets closest to my computer were being used by another computer and by a window air conditioner, respectively. In my search I found a few surge protector strips with a 12 foot cord but they were brands I wasn't familiar with, were a lot more expensive and/or had a lower Joule rating. My experience with Belkin products has always been positive. The 2320 Joule energy rating was higher than similar products and the 12 foot cord was perfect for my situation. I didn't hesitate to purchase this product and it turned out it is perfect for my needs. The price was unbeatable which was icing on the cake. The only possible con is there's only room for one 'full size' adapter without blocking other sockets. Some small adapters don't take up more room than a three prong plug and they should work without covering another socket.

Belkin is a trusted name in surge protectors. It's UL listed, (many surge protectors are not). I use it with my sewing machines because I don't want to lose one due to a power surge.

I think it great to have a 12' cord. most come with a very short cord and you need extention cords with them. also very nice weight, doesn't feel cheap and unreliable.
