I love it so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wonderful computer! Powerful, and fits my needs for engineering and gaming very comfortably (not that i game often, but it's enjoyable from time to time). I haven't used it extensively yet, but it is very comfortable and a brilliant contrast to the limited Mac systems i have used so far. I've only owned it for a few weeks, so i can't say too much, but I'm very comfortable with this purchase.

Perfect for Design Engineers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this laptop for our CAD Manager. He generally does 2-D CAD, but also uses it to make animation presentations, run CFD & Egress modeling and write technical reports. Beyond all of that, we also needed a machine that would hold-up well on construction sites, field audits and out-of-state travel. In short, this was the only laptop on the market that is both technically capable and durable enough to meet each of these requirements. So, if you are an Engineer, Architect or Construction professional, this is the laptop for you!

Great piece of equipment paired with Ubuntu/Debian

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Off the bat I wiped out the Windows installation. I use my machines for professional use only, mostly C++ coding. Installing Linux in it was straightforward. It was a little bit tricky to make the driver for Wifi work but Intel provides official support (avoid shady forums). Just follow the official Intel instructions for Linux: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000058909/wireless/intel-wireless-products.html I also suggest swapping the location of "ctrl" and "fn" from the BIOS not from the OS. Switching to unsecure boot appears to be strictly necessary in order to make the official drivers work properly. Other than that, the machine is a beast, and pretty much all drivers have official Linux support.
