Atlas Irene 52" Polished Chrome Ceiling Fan with Walnut Tone Blades

I splurged on this fan for the following reasons: I didn't want plastic (ABS) blades; I have an oak dresser that is stained a deep reddish brown, which these blades match (and have painted the walls a fairly deep green with a cream ceiling); I have an 8' ceiling, so needed a "hugger" fan; and I wanted a simple flat black or bronze canopy. I live in the Phoenix area (HOT!) so we installed this centered over the bed, closer to the head than the foot. I could not be happier: it is beautiful, quiet and powerful (I rarely go over #3 of the 6 speeds), keeping me cool and comfortable, and has both a wall control (1.5" x 2.75") and a remote (2.25" x 4.75"), see photos. The only negative is that some aspects of the installation instructions were very confusing (we ended up ignoring those parts, which was smart). One last thing: Jamie, the lighting specialist at the Chandler, AZ Lamps Plus, took the time to look up the specs on the air flow of the three blades, which is more than adequate, and also explained why I needed a bigger fan than I thought I did for the size of my room, roughly 11' x 13' (I thought 42" would be better but it would not have provided enough air flow). She was great! I highly recommend this fan.

The fans are sophisticated and simple. We love the look. We love the real wood blades and simple matte black metal. They were easy to install and set up.
