The More The Better

OK ladies and gents you know as well as I do that the more fluids you can take on a hunt, scouting trip, hike, etc. the better off you will be. I got the 3 letter bladder for my new Sacrifice Pack. It's easy to fill, and doesn't spill as much as the screw on cap lids like the cheaper ones you get from the other stores. So I do suggest that if your pack is able to hold a larger bladder such as the 3 letter you should get one.

Hunting Whitetail in Ariz

I obtained the Badlands Bino Pouch last year and this year bought the 3L Water Reservoir. I use it in a large back pack and it works great. I freeze the first 2L then add 1L of liquid and it stays cold all day. The easy open top work well and it is made of high quality material

Used it with my Badlands pack to go Elk Hunting

I loved the convenience of the water reservoir. It has a wide, easy to open mouth to fill with water even when it is in the pack. I like that I can turn it inside out to get it thoroughly dry for storage. The whole system of threading the tube through a hole in the pack shoulder strap made it so convenient for walking/hiking and sipping water without having to fish for a canteen or having to remove my pack for a drink. I also liked the rubber 'bite' on the end of the tube that made it easy to get a drink without spilling or leaking. I feel that where Badlands has the bladder placed in the pack did not give too much weight in any one spot. I never noticed any excessive weight shift and I didn't even notice that I had run out of water! (My bad-I didn't refill that morning). I noticed a chemical/bitter taste that I believe came from the tube itself rather than the water reservoir. Suggestions on how to get rid of that taste would be helpful. Where it didn't taste very good the first few sips it got better after I had a drank for a while. It was a little annoying but not harmful and I appreciated the convenience. I pressed as much air out of the reservoir as I could to keep from having a 'sloshing' sound when I walked. It worked great. Overall I really liked the water reservoir.
