After determining that the problem with the passenger side power door lock was the unit itself, I then searched to find the correct replacement. After searching for quite some time, including the Dodge parts site, I finally located the correct part at the Parts Geek site. It took some time getting the old part out and new part installed but the part was the exact match, fit perfectly the four small rods that do the actual work from the power lock being the biggest pain, and now we can lock or unlock both front doors from either side of the truck. The price, while more than the similar part for newer versions of the Dodge products, was still considerably less expensive than I could find at any area parts stores that would still have to be ordering it themselves! I'd always rather fix a problem like this myself when I can.

I was pretty amazed to find this here for the price. I contacted every parts house in my city, as well as shopping online and ebay only to return because PartsGeek had it for a good 35-45 dollars less than everyone else. Well the item shipped quickly making it in just a few days. It was well packed and protected. I installed it and have found it has a better response then the factory part on the opposite door (meaning I'll probably order another soon). I definitely recommend Dorman for OEM parts (the numbers are always spot on), and the quality control is excellent with no really manufacturing defects, roughness etc present.
