Understandably it's a bit heavy for a filter, so getting it in properly is a bit of a hassle. As it covers 8000 gallons, instead of installing through the main faucet, I installed the filter itself on the side of the cold water, with its own spigot. This way, I only use the filter for drinking water and don't run through the filter as quickly. It tastes fine, filtering out, per label, 98% of contaminates. I do notice the difference taste from that of the tap. It's a bit more costly, but I know it does work.
