Texas Blues Legend

This is the best oral autobiography that I have ever read! Mance captivates the reader taking you back in times that he lived in and through his original way of story telling by using his southern dialogue. He was the son of a former slave who was discovered in the the early 1900's but he continued to reside in a small town and play at Sunday Suppers while providing for his family. He was then rediscovered in the 1960's and began touring throughout the United States. Mance is a Legend that had a unique way of playing the guitar that could never be imitated. Although he gained popularity he continued to reside in small town Navasota Texas until his passing in 1976.
