Good Part, my mistake!

This cover was exactly as advertised, well made and would have bolted right up if I had a normal depth oil pan on my engine. My 700-R4 tranny is bolted to a 383 stroker engine which means the oil pan is deeper than a stock oil pan so, I don't have as much room to fa-niggle the cover in/around and behind the pan to get it in place to bolt up and I didn't want to substantially modify the cover to make it work. My remedy was to order the plastic (universal) version of the cover, make the starter cut-out and it bolted right up and looks great. FYI, on my car the plastic cover is a tad bit shallower at the bottom of the flywheel and would rub slightly when tightened. That was remedied by sliding the cover slightly right or left to adjust the alignment to eliminate the rubbing.

would recommend to a friend

Read about fitment problems but found out that they are not true if used on proper application . I;E fits just fine on my passenger 700r4 auto. Also the paint on it is decent and well coated. Wish is came with hardware though.

For proper fitment - trimming required

As the title suggested must be cut to fit. Had to trim where cover meets transmission pan and re-drill holes. After about 30 min. of work it fit and looked good. Liked the louvers stamped in bottom. If time isn't an issue would recommend this product, if quick fit is what your looking for, go OEM.
