I had misunderstood how this functions. It does not actuate the existing key lock, rather it slides a bracket in front of the handle body so the handle cannot be lifted. Out of the box, when unlocked, it allows the handle to lift only barely enough to open the latch, such that it felt like it might not actual open it. I marked the contact point, and there was plenty of material that could be ground away to allow the handle to be lifted fully. It was not a big deal and was a huge help. The instructions for the wiring are not very helpful (it will get you in the ballpark), but you can find more specific information online for your truck. I intend to own this truck for a very long time, and this is a solid upgrade that I would do again.
