The umbrella is just as pictured. The black and white stripes are exactly what i was looking for- what made this umbrella even more of a jewel for me is wood base accented in a gold plate! It is the perfect addition to our backyard area. It is not a krank umbrella, it has a string that you pull to raise the umbrella and then a gold pin that pins it in.

Broke the second day

I bought this a few weeks ago, just put it together and used it one time. literally lifted it up and used it once, next day chose not to open it because it was a windy day. The wind pushed table on its side and the pole cracked in half, splintery,. The ad said heavy duty eucalyptus pole. I looked at the wood in the pole and it does not look like eucalyptus, as a matter of fact it was not even solid there was one wood in the center and some type of Lemme or casing around the outside of that wood pole. it looks like Very frail splintered Redwood. Completely useless waste of $168 . Bummed.
