Excellent mid-depth rockfish and lingcod combo
I bought this to fish for rockfish and lingcod off the southern Oregon coast in 40-100 ft. of water with 4 oz. - 8 oz. jigs on 80 lb. spiderwire. So far it has more than met my expectations. There is enough backbone to bounce the jigs and it has a great action to fight even the biggest lingcod.

I just purchased my third 8 ft. Catfish Casting rod. They have worked exceptionally good for me on the channel cats I pursue. They have just enough flex in the tip to assist using circle hooks on fish as small as 2 lb. but also enough backbone to land 20 lb. plus fish. Great value for the dollar!
