Nice Rod For The Money

A great rod for smaller-sized glide baits. Powerful with a sensitive tip to detect even the smallest of nibbles. Its a 7ft 6 heavy fast action Lure rating ½ - 2 ounces with a mono line weight of 15 - 30 pounds. I pair it with a Piscifun Torrent 2 200 with 20 pound Seaguar Basix 20 pound flourocarbon line for dropshots, jigging and deep diving crankbaits. Planning to buy another for a topwater setup.

Great Deal. Nice rod.

Every once in a while, Walmart stores and Walmart.com will post a special deal that you won't notice unless you know the price that the item normally sells for, so the price almost goes under the radar. This happens with fishing gear quite often. But, once the item is noticed, it sells out quickly. Because I am constantly looking, I have found a few on fishing rods. This rod listed on a Friday and sold out by Sunday. I couldn't pass it up. It was over half the price it normally sells for. As for the rod itself, it doesn't match exactly to my Abu Garcia Max STX, but it comes very close. The reel seat is very sturdy. The action and the weight match nicely. As for the weight, balance, and toughness, it feels so light, I doubt I could get tired of casting it like some other comparable rods, the balance is spot on, and I've already tested the flex on it with a 20 lb weight, which I don't recommend, but it held it fine. I only wish I had bought a couple more.
