Wrap the Cuff: Place the cuff on the upper arm, about 1 inch above the elbow. Make sure it’s snug but not too tight. Position the Stethoscope: Place the stethoscope’s chest piece under the cuff over the brachial artery (inside of the elbow). Inflate the Cuff: Close the valve on the bulb and pump until the gauge reads about 30 mmHg above expected systolic pressure (usually around 180 mmHg). Listen and Deflate: Slowly release air by opening the valve slightly. Listen for the first heartbeat sound — this is the systolic pressure. Note the Reading: Continue to release air. When the heartbeat sound disappears, note this as the diastolic pressure. Fully Deflate and Remove: Deflate the cuff completely, remove it, and record the reading.

This is very good quality equipment for the price. It appears identical to others with a higher price and works great. The cuff is nice quality ?nylon, velcro strong and gauge and tubing all solid. Stethoscope is basic, not flimsy. The picture on the box appears to show a D ring but this one came exactly as shown online and I'm planning to reorder more. I have ordered Primacare previously and always found their quality fine for teaching and general use.
