"The impact of capital investments in the American Recovery Act of 2009" analyzed the $48 billion awarded to the US Department of Transportation under the Recovery Act. The study addressed the questions of the contribution of capital investments to GDP growth, and to employment growth. The empirical results revealed that capital investments in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 contributed to the GDP growth, and to employment growth.
