Fantastic!

Classic, elegant, and ageless. The trend seems to be toward apron (aka farmhouse) sinks, in my kitchen the sink is on an island and the apron cannot be seen from any distance, that is why I chose this Cape Dory Sink. This single, large bowl allows for a cutout in the countertop, which provides a strip of the countertop material above the front edge of the sink. The bowl is large providing ample room for washing large pots, pans, and a wok. It is heavy, so I built a support assembly from 2x4s that support the sink from below with horizontal 2x4s just under the side lips of the sink. The porcelain is shiny bright white and the cutting board accessory is very handy for chopping vegetables. Standard Insinkerator fittings were easy to install. I am very happy with this sink and its quality.

Beautiful Sink, but....

We installed our Cape Dory about 2 months ago. No problem and love the look. Clean and classic. I purchased the accessory rack to protect the bottom from getting scratched. The other day I noticed the left corner was marked. I thought maybe it was dirt, but nope, it won't come off. I am soooo bummed as I now have a mark on the inside of a brand new sink.

Sink scuffs instantly

We had this sink put in as part of a remodel in our kitchen. The sink scuffs every single day no matter what you do and you have to constantly clean it with a specialty cleaner to keep it looking new. We regret purchasing this sink.

To help with the scuffing issue, we recommend using a sink rack to prevent as much contact with the bottom of the sink. The recommended rack for this sink is model K-6063.
