What is Eucalyptus Globulus Essential Oil?
Eucalyptus globulus oil is commonly known as Eucalyptus or Blue Gum Oil. It contains 70-90% 1, 8 cineole which is known to provide support for a healthy respiratory system and soothe muscles after exercise. It is originally from Australia and has a fresh and earthy aroma that promotes well being.
What is the difference between Eucalyptus Radiata vs Eucalyptus Globulus?
The difference between the two really comes down to their aromas as therapeutic benefits are similar. Eucalyptus Radiata has less 1,8- cineole, making it less aggressive in therapeutic benefits. Its aroma is sweeter, fruity, with citrus notes. Eucalyptus Globulus is usually more popular in aromatherapy due to higher cineole content and its traditional scent which is strong, sharp, medicinal and fresh with green, almost sour notes.
