Play was untraced in modern times until recently. Of the three recovered in 1906, when at auction it was purchased for the British Museum for £702. Mark in the catalogue is C. 34, i, john Waley, the p edition, was in business from 1546 to 7586 but apparently there was earlier editwn or version. In the Day Book of john Dorm, an Oxford bookseller, there is recorded in 7520 the sale of 1 saint jon euuangeliste.
