Very nice, but use caution when inserting

These anchors are very nice, and appear to be solidly built and long lasting — but use caution when inserting rails. The ground screw attaches to a grounding strap on the inside of the anchor which has a pointed end at the top. Should the rail snag the tip of the strap it will bend the strap inwards preventing full insertion of the rail. The risk is minimized by making sure the ground screw is tight but I found that it also helped to round over the rail edges using 80 grit sandpaper so my 25+ years old rails didn't snag so easily. I do have to remove the rails every winter to cover the pool so hoping this is not an annual problem.
