A True Test Of Patience

This installation kit is not as easy as the manufacturer would lead you to believe. while the wiring harness was easy to make the connections to and connected perfectly to the cars ( 05 Vibe ) factory wiring. The trouble begins with the dash kit, ( single DIN installation)First the bottom tray is a little large to fit into the face plate and needed the edges sanded down. Second the opening that is left is to small for a JVC radio and had to had 1/8 " removed on all four sides. Now with the radio in the side mounting plates would not attach to the face plate due to the radio being wider. the side mounting plates were attached with the provided screws. time spent customizing the face plate around an hour and a half. trying to fit the assembly into the car was another problem. it was wider than intended so it would not line up with the cars mounting holes. a little moe customization and it was in. what should have been a simple 30 minute installation took 4 hours. This kit is NOT for someone with little experience and short of patience.
