The smell of the product was not overwhelming at all. A little goes a long way, and elimates any odor in the floors or walls. It didn't stain the walls or floors, but pulled up all the dirt and stains. Most smells like pet pee, poop, vomiting of a pet, and any other odor was gone on the first use of the product. Now we want to try other smells they have. We bought the fresh one this time..smaller bottle to see if it works, and it did! It also cleaned any other accidents like food being spilled on the floor.
