Magellan brings you the all new RoadMate 5520-LM. Enjoy the security of knowing your maps are always up to date by taking advantage of the Free Lifetime Map Updates feature, which allows you update your maps for free up to four times a year. There are many new features to this Magellan RoadMate to make your trip effortless.
With Landmark Guidance your routing instructions use landmarks instead of street names. You'll hear instructions like "Turn left at the Shell Gas Station". The upgraded Junction View generates a large view of the freeway you are on and with unmistakable arrows, visually guides you to the correct lane.
Junction View takes the guesswork out of freeway exits. When it is time to get off the freeway or merge into another freeway a screen-wide image with arrows shows you what lane to be in and what exit to make.
The RoadMate navigation experience is both intuitive and robust. The OneTouch Favorites Menu allows you quick access to your favorite places or even your favorite previous searches. As you type the first few letters of your target address QuickSpell instantly narrows the search based on your destination. SayWhere technology speaks the street names throughout the preloaded maps of the 50 United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

My Magellan 5520-LM had a manufacturer's defect
Magellan sent me an RA to send it back. However, at first they sent a refurbished unit to replace it. I got right on that!! Now I have to use my RA to send back both units. This unit has more good things about it than are listed in the add. It has Speed trap camera warnings built in. You do not have to buy an additional subscription like you do with other units. I really do wish that I would have had the cash to shop their more expensive units but I am happy with what this one has to offer for the time being. About the defect, Things happen. It is nobody's fault. I don't blame anyone. It just makes life interesting. Read about all of the products that they have on their website before you pick one. The most expensive may not be the one that you need. Have a great day!
