Love these sandals!
I bought the original sandals last year and after sliding on wet surfaces I decided to try the trail version this year and couldn't be happier, I only wish they weren't so expensive. I love the padded straps and creek crossing while backpacking was no problem!

These sandals hold up!! I just bought my boyfriend and i some of these for a camping trip coming up. We scaled along cliffs and these had so much grip, held my feet in (obviously if you're at a vertical angle there's will be some sliding naturally), and the vibram soles are so worth it! I have really bad ankle problems, and the cushion and support these sandals had had my ankles feeling almost stronger the next day. Love love love these! As for size, mine ended up being just right, I'm an 8.5 in women's and i decided to go with an 8 because i run more on the smaller side. But say you're a larger 8.5 i would definitely say go for the size 9.

I wore Teva for years, years ago... have not had Sandals in so ling because I was living in a cold place... now I am back in Arizona and so happy that I went with Teva. I have extra bone on one of my feet, a bunion I guess, and it can be difficult to find Sandals that don't rub that spot the wrong way. These Tevas are comfortable and have extra padding under the straps which I really appreciate. I am so sensitive to how shoes feel and fit and these feel great. I am hoping they hold up to daily wear! So far so good.
