RUST! Beware of any feeders with a metal base
The problem with the metal base is that it will rust over time. I didn't realize it until the 2nd season when I wiped the base inside and noticed my rag getting all brown. Later it rusted so much that the nectar actually turned brown with rust. Rust is not good for the hummer
