Totally not what I was looking for, this product is not suitable for holding anything heavy certainly not candy. For the price I could have purchased six seperate containers from a dollar store and still come out cheaper.... if you're thinking of purchasing for a candy buffet save your money....perhaps I'll use them for holding potpourri
