One of my ear piercings had grown closed. I decided it would be best to pay the extra money and get the 14 c gold set. It worked well, was easy to use,and virtually painless. I have been using alcohol 3 times a day to keep infection away instead of the solution that came with it. So far so good. I do think it is a little pricey.
