Highly Recommended street light
Excellent alternative to an electric street light. Very bright and sleek design. Even with limited sunlight it will enter save mode and work as a sensor or motion light providing a wide are of light that it clear and bright. I mounted mine on a 15 foot high 4x4 post and it casts light across an area 40 feet wide. I'd recommend this be installed with great care as it has some weight to it, other then that there is no electrical hook up, just sunshine. Even when the weather is bad and no sun shines for days the motion sensor portion works and comes on bright for 30 seconds until motion is no longer detected. If you have sunny days all the time the light can easily burn dusk til dawn. There are internal setting you can change for Motion alone or always on. I left the default settings and if the batteries have the juice it will stay on all night. If the batteries are not amply charged through sunlight, you can buy an external power source to directly feed the light and keep the batteries topped off at all times. I chose to left the light shine all night and if the batteries get low it goes into limp mode and only operate when motion activated. So in closing yes I recommend it and yes I would buy one again. A across the board as far as I can tell it will last a long time, only ever needing a new li-ion battery replacement after 5 years.
