A modern sleep quality mattress!

When you stop and think about how on average we spend one third of our lives in bed, then you definitely need to make a quality purchase; when your time comes to buy a new mattress. This ‘Modern Sleep 7" Innerspring Mattress – Twin’, is a quality manufactured mattress in my book. The ‘Modern Sleep’ company originated in 1971, with headquarters in Jessup, Maryland their incredibly environmentally friendly; shipping products rolled and ready for easy transport/quick set-up anywhere. The entire box with mattress actually fit in the backseat of my midsize car. One caveat before you climb into bed though, they suggest allowing these innerspring mattresses to fully-expand which takes 24-48 hours before sleeping on it. Let’s be honest here, if you’re an adult, I would suggest purchasing at least the ten inch innerspring option however; the 6” or 7” options are in my opinion, absolutely perfect for children/young adults, especially if you’ve a child in college and are looking for that “headache-free solution”. I’m very satisfied with the inner and outer quality construction of this mattress. It’s amazing when you think they’re able to fit within this twin mattress, 312 sturdy tempered steel coils! There are two polyester cushions and two layers of foam that sit on top of the coils. Surprisingly this mattress is quite dense/heavy for its size and depth. My other innerspring mattress is 9” (manufactured by a well-know company) and it feels much lighter compared to this ‘Modern Sleep’ 7”. Personally I do prefer a much firmer mattress; I truly think that can easily be solved by purchasing the 10” option. My final unbiased review is a combination of 5 stars for quality, price, comfort, construction and shipping as well as; 4 stars based only upon my personal preference in having a firmer mattress. You can reach out to 'Modern Sleep' customer service department at: 1-877-707-7533. As I’m a previous owner of another type of ‘Modern Sleep’ mattress, trust that in my opinion they deserve a 5 five star review for my final submission! Nice mattress, and ingenious shipping method

I have to say, this is quite a nice mattress. It's a good blend of firm and softness, which is great for me because I am no fan of hard mattresses (it's not for me as you can see by the picture, but if push came to shove, I could use it.) It seems to be assembled nicely. No coil spring noise, the stitching all looks very strong, and soft to the touch. It is not designed to be flipped, which is fine for me, but for some buyers that could be a no-go. The upside is that the bottom of it has a panel sewn in which makes it stay in place on the box springs, unlike a mattress that you can flip (which in my experiences tend to slide around more frequently on the box spring and you're constantly having to "bump" it back straight.) Overall, a good quality mattress that should last a long time. The real story is how it's shipped (I honestly did not know they could even do this.) The pictures tell the story. The mattress comes in a box that is 14X14X44 inches, and weighs 35 pounds. The delivery driver thought it was a heavy bag (punching bag, hanging bag, for MMA or boxing use.) When I opened it, I removed the plastic bag you see. They roll the mattress up and compress it, then wrap it in plastic and seam seal it so it stays in a cylindrical shape. VERY smart. So when you unwrap it, you better have PLENTY of room because it becomes a twin mattress in about 2 seconds!

Sleep n Comfort on Modern's7" Innerspring Matt TW

My review today is on the Modern Sleep 7" Innerspring Mattress. I have said this several times before in my reviews and I have to say it again, receiving this item to review could not have come at a better time. In my Grandson's room I have a twin bed set up for sleepovers. It has a mattress and a box spring set. This mattress was purchased at a well known store and is a good brand but it has seen it's better days. I know because I have slept on it myself. Having this new Modern twin size innerspring mattress is just what I need. I didn't know what to expect when it arrived. My husband had brought it inside and when I first saw the box I asked, "what is this?" It's the mattress. I did not expect the packing to look like this. Unlike some of the other accounts, my mattress was in a plastic bag. Once removed it was sealed in a tight plastic covering. Being careful not to nick the mattress itself, we released the plastic wrapping and the mattress expanded nicely. We had it on top of the other twin mattress so it would be up and out of the way. In a matter of a minute, I was looking at a rectangular, fabric covered case, pristine white in color, mattress pad that looked to be sturdy and comfortable. I looked at the tag on the mattress and found that it is made out of polyester fabric. Now that was good because polyester fabric is a durable, easy to wash, quick drying, non-shrinkable, wrinkle free fabric. Since my Grandson will be using it, all these factors reassured me that it will be easy when it comes to the upkeep of the mattress. The quilted fabric case that's on the top as well as on the bottom of the mattress provides the comfort I would be looking for in a innerspring mattress. The 312 resilient coils which are also fortified, provide support and thus the fabric case ( or layer of foam padding ) provides the comfort one needs while resting on this framework of coiled springs. This Modern Innerspring mattress is not a mattress that you flip over. What I do is to rotate the ends once every 3 months or so. This will help the mattress to retain it's form. I know how important a mattress is. A good mattress will encourage sleep and a bad one will rob you of your sleep. If the mattress is too hard (especially at my age ), it can cause aches and pain in your pressure point areas. My areas are my shoulders and hips because I am a side sleeper. Your back and spine need stability as well as comfort. It's not always easy to sleep alongside a child but I believe ( or at least hope so, as I haven't done this yet ), that this mattress can handle our body weight evenly, so I won't stay awake with his tossing and turning. The coil system this mattress has should address this. I like this mattress and I am pleased with the features it offers. It is not expensive like the one on my bed but I can't honestly compare this twin mattress to the queen size I sleep on. My mattress was expensive and has extra features too. I do think that for a child or a petite person, or say the college student, this would be ideal and worth the amount paid. There is a 1 year guarantee so there is nothing to lose. I would recommend this Modern Sleep Innerspring 7" mattress based on my experience as stated in this review.
