My review today is on the Modern Sleep 7" Innerspring Mattress. I have said this several times before in my reviews and I have to say it again, receiving this item to review could not have come at a better time. In my Grandson's room I have a twin bed set up for sleepovers. It has a mattress and a box spring set. This mattress was purchased at a well known store and is a good brand but it has seen it's better days. I know because I have slept on it myself. Having this new Modern twin size innerspring mattress is just what I need.
I didn't know what to expect when it arrived. My husband had brought it inside and when I first saw the box I asked, "what is this?"
It's the mattress. I did not expect the packing to look like this. Unlike some of the other accounts, my mattress was in a plastic bag. Once removed it was sealed in a tight plastic covering. Being careful not to nick the mattress itself, we released the plastic wrapping and the mattress expanded nicely. We had it on top of the other twin mattress so it would be up and out of the way.
In a matter of a minute, I was looking at a rectangular, fabric covered case, pristine white in color, mattress pad that looked to be sturdy and comfortable. I looked at the tag on the mattress and found that it is made out of polyester fabric. Now that was good because polyester fabric is a durable, easy to wash, quick drying, non-shrinkable, wrinkle free fabric. Since my Grandson will be using it, all these factors reassured me that it will be easy when it comes to the upkeep of the mattress. The quilted fabric case that's on the top as well as on the bottom of the mattress provides the comfort I would be looking for in a innerspring mattress. The 312 resilient coils which are also fortified, provide support and thus the fabric case ( or layer of foam padding ) provides the comfort one needs while resting on this framework of coiled springs. This Modern Innerspring mattress is not a mattress that you flip over. What I do is to rotate the ends once every 3 months or so. This will help the mattress to retain it's form.
I know how important a mattress is. A good mattress will encourage sleep and a bad one will rob you of your sleep. If the mattress is too hard (especially at my age ), it can cause aches and pain in your pressure point areas. My areas are my shoulders and hips because I am a side sleeper. Your back and spine need stability as well as comfort. It's not always easy to sleep alongside a child but I believe ( or at least hope so, as I haven't done this yet ), that this mattress can handle our body weight evenly, so I won't stay awake with his tossing and turning. The coil system this mattress has should address this.
I like this mattress and I am pleased with the features it offers. It is not expensive like the one on my bed but I can't honestly compare this twin mattress to the queen size I sleep on. My mattress was expensive and has extra features too. I do think that for a child or a petite person, or say the college student, this would be ideal and worth the amount paid. There is a 1 year guarantee so there is nothing to lose. I would recommend this Modern Sleep Innerspring 7" mattress based on my experience
as stated in this review.
