Highly recommend

I bought these as I want to start hiking the Florida trail, and after much research, felt that Altra Superior was the right shoe for our climate/geography. I also own the Escalante, for every day walking, but the Superior is now my favorite shoe. I walk paved paths and beach about 3-5 miles many times a week and these are very comfy. I have a narrow heel but a wider toe area, and the toe box is extra roomy, something shoes like Nike and Brooks fail with. I wear light weight wool socks, and my normal shoe size is a 7 or 7.5 but in these I ordered an 8 based on my research, and it is perfect! They look really nice, this is now my go to brand. Please create a sandal?

10/10 recommend

Did a light trail with a pretty slow incline, very rocky, in SoCal and these shoes did the trick! I have a bad hip and back and felt no fatigue in my legs/hip whatsoever. The stride feels incredibly natural thanks to the low cushion and ample room in the toe box. I will say, I'll probably try a half size bigger (I'm a 7 usually, going to try a 7.5). My big toes touched the front of the shoe more than I'm comfortable with when going downhill. I'm more than satisfied with this shoe!

In love with these shoes

These are the perfect trail shoe. I love the fit, my feet were swimming inn the Lone Peaks. These are more narrow, which I need. The amount of feedback that you get from the ground is just enough, I don't think I'll be putting the rock plate in. Last night I ran up and over a mountain, and the grip with these are amazing. There was no sliding. So glad I finally bought these!
