My Son was 4 when I got this gun for him and he absolutely loved, little sister who is 2.5 is able to use it since this gun is super easy to use and pushing out the marshmallow is not to hard. Very durable and lots of fun, you will have to get two, one for your kid and one for you :) shipping took a couple more days than expected but it was for Christmas.

It's a pretty straightforward toy; Pull back the lever, and as you push forward, the ghost shoots out. I like that there is storage for the two additional ghosts. The range the ghosts shoot out is decent, not very far, which, depending on the age, could be a potential drawback. Overall, it appears to be a quality toy and worth the price.
