The ramp!
I've been trying to find a ramp that I could use easily for several years. I'm delighted to say that I'm no longer looking....I've found it! The Solvit Deluxe Tri scope Pet Ramp is perfect for me. The ramp is sturdy and well-constructed; I've used it with dog ranging from 30-65 pounds. The most important criteria for me is that the ramp MUST be light-weight, and must collapse or fold into a size that is manageable by me without anyone else's assistance ( I'm small in stature, weighing 94 lbs, and I have mobility and strength limitations). At 14 lbs, with three sections that telescope into each other into an easily manageable and convenient size, the Solvit Pet Ramp allows me to move my dogs in and out of a vehicle without difficulty! Last, but by no means least is safety. A strap on one end allows me to securely keep the ramp into it's storage/ travel position. When extended, and correctly placed in position ( clear directions are included with the ramp), it is secure and safe for use without fear of collapse! I'm very happy with my purchase of this ramp, and would recommend it to anyone. My dog uses the ramp eagerly, without any hesitation or fear. It's a keeper!!!! PS: I also bought the adapters for use in side doors. They are easily and rapidly installed, and increase the usefulness of the ramp.
Lightweight And Compact!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ramp has been a huge help for my older shepherd mix to get into the cargo area of my SUV. I used to have to pick him up to put him in the car and being that I take him everywhere I go this ramp has been a blessing! I own a 2017 Nissan Murano and the extended length of this ramp (70 inches) works great. The angle is a bit steep but the traction is fantastic. My dog has no trouble with slipping at all. To get your dog used to the ramp it's suggested to first put the ramp on something low, like a curb or a stair simply to get your dog used to it. I had my Yogi using the ramp on the 1st day! I love that it's so light and compact. It hardly takes up any room so I just leave it in my car. It has a built in handle so it's easy to carry. The operation couldn't be easier. There's a button snap that keeps the ramp from sliding out. Simply unsnap the strap to fully extend the ramp. The only thing I would've liked is if the lip on the ramp was adjustable. There are two rubber pieces on the underside of the lip (shown in 2nd picture) to protect your cars bumper and to keep the ramp from sliding around. If you have a flat bumper it will make full contact. Unfortunately my Murano has a weird curved bumper so the rubber pieces don't make full contact. There's enough contact to keep the ramp from sliding so it's not a huge deal but an adjustable lip would be awesome! Other than that I love everything else about it. It's solidly built, lightweight, compact, and simple to use--can't ask for much more than that! I plan on purchasing the XL version which extends to 87 inches to use with my Dodge RAM.
Easy to Use & Sturdy
I've been using this product for about two weeks. At first it was just for my 12yo 100lb dog to get in and out of my SUV but now I've brought it into the house so he can get onto the bed without having to lift him. The ramp is easy to extend and retract and is very sturdy with a non-slip coating. It's portability make it easy to use inside or in the vehicle. Don't know what I did without it!
