About this item
Product details
Cinderella Pumpkin is one fairy-tale of a pumpkin! Brightly colored, scarlet red, with large deep ridges, and a flattened shape. This special squash was transformed into a coach carriage by Cinderella's Fairy Godmother so she could attend the ball! These attractive pumpkins grow on sprawling vines and make beautiful Autumn decor on porches and market stands. The plants produce large, vibrant fruits that are not only visually captivating but also offer a rich, sweet flavor with a smooth, creamy texture, ideal for making savory soups, pies, or roasted dishes. Their thick, firm flesh makes them an excellent choice for both culinary and decorative purposes, ensuring they hold up well during carving or painting while still providing great taste when cooked. These pumpkins also store well, maintaining their beauty and flavor for weeks, so you can enjoy them long after the harvest.
Squash is one of the plants grown in the traditional Native American vegetable growing technique called the Three Sisters. The other two plants in the Three Sisters are beans and corn. Each plant had its role in this companion planting tradition. Corn served as a structure for the vining beans to grow up. Squash served as a ground cover to prevent weeds from growing. Beans provided natural fertilizer for all.
