Westpointe S2 Series 10000 BTU “BTU” (Cooling Rate DOE) Portable Air Conditioner, White

We own this unit for one year now. Bought it on sale at Sears Canada for $299 ca. At 10000 Btu it is a powerful cooling unit. Noise is not bad depending on fan speed. Electronic controls work well with digital thermometer and remote. No drain required, it vents the condensation to the outside over a 3.5" flex tube. The only thing I don't like, the unit uses inside, that is room air for venting outside. This air is already cooled and should not be blown outside. Very inefficient! Unless your hydro is cheap or free? What a waste! Buy a window AC, they cool the indoor air and use outside air to expell the heat and condensation.
