Great Glider/ warmliner

Stunning glider. Add a bit of weight in front, dive, and you will smile all the way.

Great Airplane - Tough to Build

This motorglider looks great, and flies very well. The airframe is constructed of high-quality materials, but the onboard electronics are disappointing - cheesy Tactic servos that strip easily, and non-smart ESC, so no battery telemetry. It does have a nice brushless motor, though. The quick link connectors break easily while being installed. I used an AR630, which didn't quite fit inside the very narrow fuselage. I carefully removed plastic from the receiver's housing with a belt sander, until it did fit. AS3X was easy to tune for the motorglider. The battery was a very tight fit also - biggest I could find that would barely fit was a 3S1200Mah. The tail surfaces required significant sanding to fit. The wing saddle in the fiberglass fuse required a lot of dremeling out with a drum sander, so the wing would fit. The avionics bay is so tight, I could barely get the wing on without servo wires getting pinched, or fouling the servo linkage with wires. Even so, the result after the buildiing pain is a very nice, high-speed & aerobatic motorglider. I have rode some thermals with it, and expect it to be exceptional in strong ridge lift conditions.
