Disappointed by defective chain

The first time I wore this pendant I almost lost it. Turns out the clasp that came with the pendant does no close correctly, that's the problem. Fortunately I had a better and also longer silver chain I could use. I think the pendant looks better on my 18in. chain than the 16in. chain it came with
