I bought this movie without ever hearing anything about it. It had some good actors I enjoyed watching and it turned out to be an awesome movie. I suspect a smaller budget but it delivers. A great western about facing impossible odds from completely different people who all made a decision like they had no other choice. It does have a little creepiness to it that adds suspense.

STUNNING MOVIE!!!

I can't understand some of the previous reviewers. This movie was absolutely amazing. The cinematography, acting, ambiance and gruesome nature of the film was top notch. Kurt Russel was in his element here, and I was very enthralled by Matthew Fox's portrayal of a gentleman gunslinger (definitely his best role). The cast (several notable names) held a believable rapport, and realism that is often missed in movies. This movie would be a great stand alone Western by itself, but with the violent cannibal aspect, and the characters reaction to the extreme circumstances, I found it thoroughly enjoying. In a world of prequels, sequels and remakes, it is nice to see something truly original again. Kudos to the writer, director and producer who made this film with no money or backing from any studios, and shot a film exactly the way the wanted to.
