Makin the 2.3 breathe, keep stock parts for sale

mine is exactly like this, it has chrome plastic clamps with O-rings and came with multiple plugged ports to run the valve cover port to as well as the air temp sensor,BUT it didn't include a reducer to go from the 3in tubing to the 2.75 "[?] air intake port, but easy to find. Overall i still paid alot less than this kit,but have used this type with silicone connectors before and would go with it again over the chrome plastic clamp/o-ring set up. No question it helps the stout lil cast iron 2.3 2001-1974] breathe better in all ways.. Make sure to support the air filter/MAF sensor with the provided strut, bend it and bolt it to rad support and underneath clamp on filter or on MAF bolt. Use a socket and 1/4" drive ratchet to tighten all the clamps once put together/hand snug ,a screwdriver is not enough, but no need to go gorilla. Good time to spec out the maf sensor and clean it ,plus the idle air control valve and the intake port,.its coated ,be careful clean rag with carb spray on the rag is all thats needed beside good multi-meter. Addin this kit will help other problems show up, like the 1443 44 45 which is the purge valve solenoid and sensor/thermistor. ALWAYS use new quality 1/4" and 3/8' fuel hose..If its soft replace it,its sucking vacuum. Plenty of vids on you tube to get anyone through this job and buy quality parts. could be good for 5MPG and more1
