Teamson Kids Little Chef Westchester Wooden Play Kitchen, Retro Toy Kitchen with Icemaker, Chalkboard & Accessories

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 6 year old and she loves playing with her pretend toys like any other kid. When we got her the "Little Chef Westchester Retro Play Kitchen", she got super excited. This particular item was on her list for quite sometime and her happiness knew no bounds. Here is a my detailed review of the product: 1. Packaging: The product comes in a almost 60 lbs package and once you open it, you will understand why it's this much heavy. Most of the products are made of wood like material and this is what it makes this toy furniture so sturdy. I would give full points on packaging as none of my items were missing or broken. 2. Assembly: This is the part which takes a real good time. It took me and my husband almost 2.5 hours to assemble the whole product. I must say that a decent screwdriver with different screw size option is what you will need to fix everything. It comes with a booklet which explains all the steps required to make the final product. All the parts used in the furniture comes with labels/stickers and that makes life easy. In our case, fortunately only one product was missing the sticker but since the booklet also has a image of the product, so we could figure out. The things which took the most of time are fixing the hinges of the doors as it had tiny screws but still not much of a hassle. I must say that during this whole 2.5 hours, we worked as a team and had a good family bonding time :). What could have been better, is a video Youtube link which shows a How-To video on how to assemble the product so as to remove any doubts whatsoever. 3. Final Product: Once we are done with all our hard work, we have the final product ready and this is simply awesome. In terms of the look, the product is very elegant and makes any kid (as well as adult) fell in love with it. I was initially not sure how white color would look but at the end, I guess, I made a good choice. The main product features: a. Fridge: This has a thermometer which seems real to me as it's showing the room temperature, a chalkboard where one can put something like "Today's Menu" to help kids with imaginative play. The best part about the fridge was that it has pretend ice cubes also which comes down into the provided cup on press of the button. b. Stove: It has a clicking knobs, oven doors, gas burners and a toy clock. Pretty much what you have in a real kitchen oven. It even has a toy cellphone which you can hang in the groove. c. Sink: I liked it very much as it gives a real feel to the kid that she is working on a very similar kitchen like real. it even has tap for hot & cold. d. Microwave Oven: This is also very nice and add completeness to the whole product. Although this product doesn't come with other kitchen accessories but we had lot many at our home and my daughter made use of them. I would have loved if the product had some more accessories which matches with the product but I am not complaining. Overall: Very happy with the product and would give 100% on looks, fun factor & durability. Highly recommended for anyone with young kids and you may end up eating lot of pretend dishes :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this for both my 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son. Instruction manual was very easy to read and it took me a little over an hour to assemble, would take less time with help. I did use both a empact drill and a hand screwdriver during assembly. Some parts were easier to do by hand it tight spaces. My kids absolutely love it. Their favorite part is the chalkboard on the fridge and that the ice maker actually dispenses the ice cubes. Of course they love the fun of pretend cooking as well. This is made with heavy duty wood, very sturdy, and made to last years. I love the retro style look, it looks so fancy sitting in my kids room.
