Was supposed to be firm control but I do not think it is more than a good pair of control top panty hose. Not sure if a smaller size would have made any difference. I am not that big, 5'6 and 135 lbs but have a belly I wanted to slim down for skirts and dresses. Did like that it stayed down since it was longer but did not care for the hook and eye panty closure at the crotch. I left it unhooked and it still stayed put. Will use it for smoothing everything down when I don't wear hose.
