Great Eliptical, bad customer service at NordicTra

The unit itself is okay except that the right arm bolt holes were off center and the bolt would not seat correctly. The drilled holes (right arm) were 1/32" off so the bolt heads would not seat correctly. The left arm bolts seated perfectly. I called the customer service from NordicTrack and the service is horrendous, the hold time is 30 minutes both times I called. The script for troubleshooting is read question by question instead of common sense reasoning. (The young man who helped me was very kind and pleasant). The rep wanted me to exchange the bolts on each arm to see if they fit better that way????!!!??? I was also told that this was an assembly defect and is not covered under warranty until I explained that this was a manufacturing defect to the rep- once again- scripted trouble shooting started all over. All in all, it only took an hour and 38 minutes to come to the conclusion that the bolts would not line up and a correctly drilled part was needed. Even with a camera view the rep did not understand the issue but finally agreed to send a new arm in 7 to 10 business days. I am looking forward to finally getting to use my Eliptical, but I waited 10 days for shipping and now another 10 days for a manufacturing error. The rep did say I could use the eliptical if I tightened the bolts and any damage would be covered under warranty, hmmmmmm?!?!?

Delivery to garage. Had to use dolly to get to basement due to weight. Extensive assembly really a 2-person job. Machine locked until activated on website, however the link provided takes you to a place where the only options are to select a $/month membership to online fitness program by iFit. Eventually figured out how to get unlocked without joining.

Machine stuck at the highest resistance fixed!

Machine is well made, iFIT is good idea but needs lots of work, too much talk. But I will give it a shot. Speaker don’t use Bluetooth to play phone audio, needs Aux? But my main problem was same as one of the other reviewer who gave 1 star. Because of it I might have to return this huge elliptical if I hadn’t found the solution. Even after iFIT activation, console showed power but was stuck in highest resistance. I also noticed that moving elliptical wasn’t counting my pace or distance. That gave me a clue that the issue could be with the cable connection from base to console. Once I connected the two cables other way it worked like a charm. This connector design needs improvements, it snaps either way, one way we get into this problem (console powers but no data is recorded, machine gets stuck at highest resistance), other way it works as expected.
