The Hidden Lives of Dick & Mary: Two Novellas of Supernatural Suspense, (Paperback)

4.5 stars I loved the storyline in the first novella as well as all the historical elements! I thoroughly enjoyed the second novella, and it had an absolutely perfect ending. My favorite element was the friendship between the three “outcasts.” I'm excited to read the book again to find more connections between the two novellas. I do want to note that I felt the cover was a bit misleading. It came off as too modern for the story and had a Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys vibe while, in reality, the story was much more sophisticated than that. As for the sneak peek of his next project that was included at the end of the book, I wanted to keep reading and definitely plan to purchase it. ***SPOILERS AHEAD*** I felt cheated at the end of the first novella because I didn't get to see the base cleansing! I wanted more even though I realized it would've been unnecessary after reading the second novella. As for the second novella, I wanted to know what happened to Ken! Is he a part of Dick and Mary's adult lives? I also wanted to know more about the alien connection between Ken and Mary—do the aliens consider them siblings?
