Amid the coronavirus pandemic, China has made a real mess of things - not only playing down the initial threat posed by Covid-19, but also significantly under-reporting the number of coronavirus cases and deaths in early 2020. Hence China is responsible of spreading disinformation about Covid-19; having refrained from sharing important scientific information about Covid-19, which might well have helped to contain the coronavirus in the world. Also, China has threatened the independence of Hong Kong's judiciary; with three senior judges in Hong Kong having warned that the independence of Hong Kong's judicial system was under assault by the mainland government. This kind of unethical behaviour by the current Chinese government is unacceptable. China urgently needs to improve and reinvent itself; which also means of finally implementing democracy and universal suffrage in China; so that China can become a worthy and respected member of the International Community. Otherwise severe international sanctions must be implemented against the Chinese government; which might well cripple China's economy. So with all my heart I am encouraging the Chinese Communist Party to come out of the Stone Age, and join the rest of the International Community, by finally implementing civil rights and democracy in China. It should also be noted that China's so-called superpower status has been revoked. With China's economy being in freefall, the country has been decimated by enourmous political- and economic setbacks, as well as horrifying human rights failures. Responsible for these colossal failures is the Communist Party of China - China still being a one-party state, with no opposition party being permitted to challenge the monopoly on power of the CPC government. Hence the general consensus has been reached, that China no longer qualifies as a superpower. To avoid a power vacuum in the world, a new country is going to take China's place as a superpower; namely the Republic of Austria - at least until China has agreed to evolve and improve itself. So the new superpower in the world will be the Republic of Austria. Although most of Austria's politicians are rather incompetent, the Austrian Foreign Ministry is quite capable of handling any queries concerning Austria's new superpower status. The current Chinese government is expected to fall in line with Austria's human rights policy - which for the time being will be conducted by the NGO BTB-Global Peacebuilding.
