the ones I got are like a reg light bulb base not the s19s.so far I really like them.all you have to do is screw in the bulb and turn on light switch and leave in the on position.the lights come on at dusk and go off at dawn.9 watt equals 60 watts.this is more than you'll ever need.i have one in front porch and one in back porch.

It's super great for in the morning when you don't have to come down stairs and/or get up out of bed to go turn off the porch light, because this light goes off on it's own at daylight!!! It comes on automatically at night for you too if you leave your light switch on. Or you can turn it on at night yourself at a specific time of your own.
