Use only high quality wheel bearing lubricant. Installation Instructions: Removing wheel from hub will make hub less difficult to handle. Remove dust cap, cotter pin, locking device (if present), nut and flat washer. Wiggle and pull hub toward you to remove outer bearing cone and carefully remove hub from spindle. Use a soft metal punch or wooden block to remove rear seal and bearing cone and both bearing cups from hub. Thoroughly clean hub and spindle. Tap new bearing cups into place. A wooden block may be helpful. Be certain they go in straight and are firmly seated into the hub. Pack new bearing cones with grease and place one cone in rear of hub. Gently tap new grease seal into hub with a wooden block. Put some extra grease in hub and carefully place hub on spindle. Install new outer bearing cone. Replace washer and nut and adjust as follows. With hub rotating, tighten nut snug to ensure that all parts are properly seated. Back off the adjusting nut so hub will turn freely but there is no significant rattle in the bearings. Reinstall any locking device and install the cotter pin and dust cover. Replace wheel if previously removed and double check to make sure that wheel turns freely, but does not rattle.
