Beautiful Lights that work well Out of the Box !

Bought two of these units, got them working in a few minutes. There's a couple of things you need to be aware of : (1) They are a lot brighter if your house is white or light color. My roof is a darker color and on that part almost nothing is visible. Some trees also reflect very little light. So, light color are generally most effective. (2) The unit is not made to be put on a timer, it has it's own "timer" which is a light-sensing switch which turns the unit on automatically when it gets dark. If you put it on a timer, it resets itself every time the timer turns it off. That way you lose the "motion" option from the back swirly switch. (3) To me the red-green option with swirly motion looks by far the best. (4) If you have a sprinkler system it might be best to keep the units away from them. (5) On a wide house you might need more than one unit to cover the front, the coverage angle is around 90 degrees, so it's not super-wide. (6) It is best and most safe not to look directly into the red or green laser beams.

Very cool product!

We had one of these and wanted another. We use these for camping, but are moving to a house with a pool and plan to use them there as well. This particular model is a Christmas version but we still use it all year.

Camping lights

We take this camping with us and shine it in the trees at night. View from the hammock looking up is awesome, lights through the campfire smoke is amazing. We get tons of Owwws and awwws by everyone driving by and neighboring sites
