Roman Polanski's quintessential masterpiece!

There seems to always be a classical book that was required reading in college that you just can't get into the mindset to read. Then I viewed the film and was smitten and astonished at the same time. I've heard it often said that Tess herself was a victim of her own provocative beauty. Though I would classify the character and the film as a tragedy, it is equally captivating as it was disturbing. Of course it goes without saying that I was then compelled to read this wonderful book by Thomas Hardy.
