I was impressed by the sturdiness of this ladle! And I missed the fact that it is designed so that the ladle doesn't actually touch the counter when you put it down...keeps the counter clean.

I don't believe it's silicone!

Notice it says silicone in the listing, however, no where on the package does it claim this. Appearance & heat resistance rating is more consistent with nylon, which I could get at the dollar store. Very disappointed! I returned to store.
