Exotac put evolution on the fast track when they decided to perfect the MATCHCAP. The MATCHCAP XL is the comination of countless trips into the woods and a few fire-related mishaps. They doubled the capacity and increased the striking surface by 250%. This thing is serious!

EXPANSION
The MATCHCAP XL isn't limited to just matches. Using a Stormproof (2.9" long) match, the new design leaves 0.3" to spare for tinder storage. If using kitchen matches, nearly half of the MATCHCAP XL is available for storage. Use the extra space to store water purification tablets, tinder, medicine, fishing hooks, first aid kit, etc.

For maximum match capacity, place a majority of thematches head up with a few head down.

Features:

• SAFETY-MATCH STRIKER: The MATCHCAP XL replaceable safety-match striker is located inside the cap protected by an o-ring. Because it’s on the outside of the capsule, the stored matches won’t rub on it either.
• STRIKE ANYWHERE STRIKER: For use with strike-anywhere matches, the sandpaper pad on the bottom is water-resistant and great when everything else is too wet to use as a striking surface.
• WATERPROOF: Matches nor strikers work when wet so the capsule is sealed with an o-ring that prevents water and moisture intrusion at depths of 15 ft. (5 m).
• ANODIZED ALUMINUM BODY: The MATCHCAP XL is CNC machined, in house from USA high-grade 6061 aluminum then anodized for protection in one of our four signature Exotac colors.
