I grew up on Candyland. First board game for my own children. I was ordering valentines for grandkids online and ran across Candyland on sale so perfect time to get the kids started! Ages 2 and 4. They love it. And gives their mom the opportunity to sit down, take a break, and relive her youth as well! This is the perfect first board game for kids. They don't need to know how to read or count. They can learn counting as they go with the game and match colors.

Good Quality - Small Cards

This game has been so much fun to play with my 3 year old. It's a great way to practice colors. Everything is good quality, and the game play is exactly how I remember it. My only complaint is that the cards are a little small. Definitely smaller than your average card deck, which is a little hard for my toddler to pick up only one at a time during game play.

Did not impress grandma or the grandkids.

The younger child (3 1/2) showed no interest in this. I bought it specifically because of the age range and it was way too simple for the 5year old. I would go with the original Candyland if I were to start over.
