Great Chaco quality, questionable footbed

I have been wearing Chaco Z2s for decades. This is my latest pair. As I age I have developed metatarsalgia from loss of fat pads (the result of going barefoot most of my life) so I thought I would give the Cloud a try. I am not convinced that the foot bed is any softer than the original Z2s, but maybe they will soften up? Still the best sandal made. A thought for the Chaco design team: How about a nubbly foot bed like Kenkoh uses? I have found that these footbeds are the best for metatarsalgia and in combination with a Chaco sandal would be a winner.

Here we go.

I don't like toe straps. I don't like sandals that wrap the way these do. I hated everything about these Darn things, until I put them on and walked around in them. For Fu$@ sake they are amazing!!!! Easy to follow instructions, but I didn't need them. My fiancé is a seasoned Vet with these things. I hate unpractical. These are functional and they don't look too shabby. She was right again. Hope she doesn't read this. I don't say that often.
