i used to carry a backpack AND a cooler to the beach almost every week during the summer. this backpack serves as a 2in1 to free up my hands to easily carry a chair. the extra liner keeps things dry in the main compartment. i haven't used the outer cover yet but it's nice to have on very hot days. the zippers are unique and seals better than traditional zipper closures.

This really surprised me , I bought this to replace an igloo backpack I bought several years ago nearly triple the price that's falling apart. This one appears to be built better than the igloo and works really well. The clear plastic liner I initially thought would be a gimmick really helps with durability and to keep the cold inside. I wouldn't trust actual ice in the cooler as I use ice packs and if the cooler wound up sideways it would certainly leak but really a huge improvement over the igloo I had ! Great cooler!
